They’re calling it a one-man war: waged
on one man’s behalf by tens of thousands,
against a country of millions, hurting
everyone everywhere, across all borders,
no matter what colors our national flags are
—yellow and blue or blue, white and red—
or where we live: in other words, a war
against all of us: one man’s war against
all men, women and children: alive or yet-
to-be-born: one man’s war against life:
just so we know: one man’s war against
life.
