A WOMAN SIGHED

In the doctor's waiting room
a woman sighed, said
to a friend, "Tommy's teacher
wants all the children
to wear something patriotic
tomorrow — the anniversary
of nine-eleven, you know."
That was when I knew
the terrorists were winning.
