PEOPLE AND PLACES AND PATRIOTS

My stomach is turning
And I no longer believe
In this country or its people
And I think that maybe
I should run away to some other
Country where the people
Are good and their intentions
Clear.

But this is stupid

Because this is the only
Country for me
Because any country I run to
Will disgust me
In the same way my own
Does
Only there I will probably
Need a translator.
