I cannot find it on a map
other than the one the human
heart inscribes. The widows'
basement, full of sorrow,
the bereft mother huddled
over the lifeless child.
The days-long bombardment
and our blind eye cast
on a world so foreign.
On no map but my heart,
I circle it.
