Blue collar Milwaukee
cheers its team all the way
to baseball’s peak, then
can’t afford thousands to see them play
at the stadium their taxes helped pay for.
Cheaper by far to fly down to St. Pete,
buy a ticket in the other team’s park,
even stay overnight,
and they do!
At an exuberant Tropicana Field
almost a third of the seats
are filled with spirited Brewer fans,
beer cups in hand, cheering them on—Go Brewers!—
helping them compete—Yay Brew Team!—
to an easy victory! Only one more win
to bring the trophy home!
