ANOTHER EXECUTION

by Cody Walker

Cartoon by Nick Anderson

“An individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently,” Noem said, despite video evidence clearly showing an unarmed Pretti being beaten. —The Guardian, January 24, 2026

This isn’t a game—

it’s not Risk, Trouble, Yahtzee.

It’s straight-up Nazi.

SAME WEIRD SH*T

by Cody Walker

via Rolling Stone, January 20, 2025

In 2020 we got HBO so we could watch The Plot Against America. Now it’s almost five years later, and we still have HBO (now called Max). And we still have a plot against America! Except it’s not a plot; it’s an open invitation. You can even vote for it. We did vote for it.

MAD FLY THEM TO MARTHA’S VINEYARD

by Cody Walker

DeSantis move to fly migrants to Mass. stokes confusion, outrage from critics —The Washington Post, September 16, 2022

He thought he saw a Schlubby Cheetah
     Resting by the Pier:
He looked again, and found it was
     The Holocaust. “Oh dear.
It happened in my parents’ lifetime.
     Might still happen here.”

CRITICAL THINKER

by Cody Walker

"Look, I'm not some sort of anti-vax, flat earther. I am somebody who's a critical thinker. You guys know me. I march to the beat of my own drum. I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and the ability to make choices for your body, not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something. Health is not a one-size-fits-all for everybody. And for me, it involved a lot of study in the offseason, much like the study I put into hosting Jeopardy! Or the weekly study I put into playing the game." —Aaron Rodgers

Well, he
was a racist and a liar and a bit of a baby,
but maybe
not an outright crook.
Waiting now for the book!

GUIDED DREAM TOUR

by Cody Walker

On Monday, Trump hosted a 2020 strategy meeting with a group of advisers. Among the topics discussed was whether Mike Pence should remain on the ticket, given the hurricane-force political headwinds Trump will face, as demonstrated by the midterms, a source briefed on the session told me. —Gabriel Sherman, Vanity Fair, December 5, 2018
